Integrated conodont and carbon isotope bio-chemostratigraphy
MS student Angela Fiorito, field assistant Alexander Ficken, Dr. McAdams, and MS student Dustin Morgan on the way to Section IV, northern Antelope Range, NV. June 2021.
McAdams Lab at TTU
Lab research focuses on application of integrated conodont biostratigraphy-carbon isotope chemostratigraphy techniques to investigate biogeochemical events in Earth history.
Contact me if you are a prospective student or collaborator interested in some combination of conodont biostratigraphy, δ C or C chemostratigraphy, litho- and sequence stratigraphy, and chronostratigraphy. Other research topics include conodont and trilobite morphometrics, taxonomy, and/or phylogenetic systematics.
I am also interested in geological time scale improvement via integration of high resolution bio-chemostratigraphy and high-precision radioisotopic dates.
I mainly work in the early Paleozoic (Ordovician-Devonian) but am open to projects in different time periods.
